Kasoa villagers and students in central Ghana are ignorant of hygiene and nutrition education while 84% are daily afflicted with water borne diseases linked to poor sanitation and polluted water sources--shallow wells, streams and ponds with 3% death rate while 4% of children are stunted in growth from poor nutrition .Project will provide four deep wells,sustained nutrition, hygiene and farming education to address problems of frequent water diseases, malnutrition, low farm yield and high
At Kasos, in central Ghana, project will train water technicians on boreholes and pumps maintenance,then construct piped water schemes and hand washing stations fed by sunk bore holes and connected to toilets and other facilities, provide training in fish and vegetable faming and preventive health and nutrition education to reduce cases of rampant waterborne diseases to improve health and nutrition,increase jobs and incomes,school enrolment and improved grades
Project will promote education thru increased school enrolment,attendance,and high academic grades for the 740 students to realize their ambition. Fish and vegetable faming project will allow 450 widows and single parents rise out of poverty, which will provide for their families' education, health and well being. Improved health by 5740 villagers will lead to reduced medical bills, improved savings and happier lives
