60% of mexican children have suffered some kind of violence. In the last 25 years, two children have died a day due to child abuse. (ONU) The violence in a very young age has severe health repercussions in the future, like depression, anxiety, obesity, heart disease, poor self-esteem, as well as the high possibility of reproduce violence patterns. Here the importance of attending the matter in the early age, as this will allow us to revert the most possible of the damage and its consequences.
We provide comprehensive care that heals as much as possible the wounds of abuse: a warm, safe and dignified home, all they need in health services, nutrition, education and psychological care, social and cultural activities and so on. The goal is reintegrating them into the community in optimal conditions and make a worthy life plan for them, hopefully with a family, since we trust it is the ideal model for a healthy development, as long as they respect their rights and give them love and care.
If a child reaches a shelter, it means they were exposed to marginalization, poverty, lack of basic services, overcrowding, drugs, in addition to abuse: they were in serious danger. Attending children whom have living these experiences at a very young age, we are not only saving their lives, but actually breaking violence circles, since the child who lives violence will give violence in the future. In this way, they acquire tools for life, rebuild self-steem and respect themselves and others.
