Divine Mercy Development Foundation a community based organisation found in Kasese, Uganda plans to build 1 class room block to provide free hand craft making skills training to Orphan Girl Adolescents who are school drop outs and from poor communities in Maliba sub county, Kasese, Uganda, also provide them with knowledge on hand craft marketing. This project will support 60 orphan Girl adolescents by providing them knowledge and skills in hand craft making .
HIV/AIDS and Malaria in Maliba sub county , Kasese have increased the number of orphans in the area .The most vulnerable are the Orphan girl adolescents who end up dropping out of school due to lack of facilitation thus end up getting engaged in early sex, early marriage and risk of acquiring HIV/AIDS due to getting in commercial sex acts in search for their daily survival. we will construct a hand craft training class room and train them in hand craft making for their income
Constructing class room block and training the orphan Girl adolescents school drop outs (training in hand craft making more especially, making local bags, baskets and beads, training them in hand craft marketing.
The project will educate 60 orphan girl adolescents school drop outs giving them skills in hand craft making which will provide them with income from the sale of the products for their sustainability.
