Covid-19 impact continues to reverberate. We had to swiftly adapt in real time to the issues posed by the global health crisis. Your donation will help us keep the lights on for the coming year, pay the internet connection and telephone systems, finance office supplies and equipment, cover accounting and cleaning services, recruit staff, pay volunteer compensation, and other day-to-day operations.
The pandemic exposed the fragility of the travel sector putting in jeopardy the survival of some tourism organizations. Our non-profit was no exception. We face challenges stemming from a tightening donor environment on the one hand, and an increase need for support from those served by the organization. One of our major donors has less disposable income to donate leading to decreased contribution to our operational costs. Another major challenge is attracting and keeping talented people.
As other nonprofits, we use our revenue to cover our program costs and deliver valuable support to our beneficiaries. Your donation will help us cover our administrative expenses: office supplies, furniture, storage equipment, stationery, utilities, staff compensation, cleaning supplies, accounting services, computer software, web design, internet connection, telephone fees.
Looking at poverty only through a monetary lens, we risk leaving behind millions of people who experience food insecurity, unemployment, inadequate housing, poor sanitation, lack of healthcare, limited access to education, and many more deprivation. Thanks to the continued support and commitment of donors and partners, we will continue to unlock people's potential to rise out of poverty and leverage services and technology for our beneficiaries.
