Hai Africa is dedicated to keeping children learning. That mission hasn't changed for 2023. This campaign has the objective of not only keeping our Hai Center up and running but also raising funds to send & support 66 students to continue their education at elementary schools. The cost to sponsor schools for all of our students is $220/per child. The annual rent for the facility where we operate is $3,840. So, we need your help to raise $19,760 to keep our children in school.
Part of our job is to ensure that our children continue their education in schools that exist in the community. This is because there is no free public school in Kenya and as a result, more than of school-age children are completely out of school due to lack of financial means. Because of that, every year, we carry out a crowdfunding campaign with the objective of paying the tuition fee for this school for all of our students.
In 2023, there will be 66 children, 54 of which are already in elementary school and we intend to keep them, and another 12 that will end the cycle at Hai Center and begin their journey at one of the community schools. Annually, our spending for each child in elementary school is USD220. This amount includes: USD140 - annual tuition (with meals); USD70 - school supplies and uniform; USD10 - administrative fees for conversion rate
