Comunidad Mexicanas en el Mundo promotes and employs indigenous women in Mexico, who are between 15 and 50 years old, we provide them with the material and tools for the elaboration of textiles such as embroidered blouses, cushion covers, pillows, bags and dresses all handmade, who dedicate up to 1 month in the elaboration of an article, all these textiles are promoted for sale in 70 cities around the world, so that these indigenous women bring livelihoods to their homes .
Due to the increase and presence of articles of Chinese origin in Mexico, indigenous women lose visibility and sale in the national market of their products and before a growing arrival of tourists who want to buy "Mexican" product are actually buying Chinese product, affecting The work and economy of these indigenous women. Due to this situation, many indigenous women fall into prostitution and easy businesses to have money and be able to take home something to live.
This project by helping 10 indigenous women with work, material and purchase of their textiles, we can encourage sustainable trade within their community and encourage more women to integrate into this project, offering them job security, entry of money for work and sale made, without the need to travel long distances, motivation and female entrepreneurship, community union, visibility of handwork and done in Mexico and thus promote work between indigenous communities and the world
We seek to show the world the value of each work done by indigenous communities with textiles and promote fair trade, sustainable work and entrepreneurship of indigenous women, as well as preserve the art of embroidering by hand in the new generations of these communities, which Let them feel love for this art with personal benefits such as attractive income, connection between communities, through safe and reliable sales, teamwork and social harmony promoted by our community in the world.
