There is hope in improving girls' attendance in sc

By Ssenkima Stephen | Director

RACOBAO together with GlobalGiving have contributed a lot to the improvement of girl child attendance in schools through providing sanitary pads and also improving their hygiene and girls presence at school without being absent. Teachers consulted went ahead and said through different trainings and sanitary pads provided to these young girls at least this term the school register attendance of our girls has greatly improved and this has greatly contributed their performance in class.

This has happened in the schools that have been reached though a number of schools are demanding for this support because girls are of a high fear of being stigmatized by their fellow children during this period and there is need for promotion of hygiene because no one should admire being with a sustain of blood on her uniform whenever this period reaches.

Girl’s attendance in school has greatly changed after a strong struggle. Great thanks to all global giving fundraisers for keeping these young girls in school.
