Give quality education to 800 children will help rural orphans get 5star education in the village of Kakiri/Bbaale(Wakiso district). Think of a child accessing a computer, a well equiped library, science club, qualified teachers, an enviroment where they can develop and improve their talents. Leisure for children is one of the neglected side in children, especially in rural areas. Access to computer will help children open doors to technology and discovering more of their potentials.
According to a 2016 UWEZO report titled " Are our children learning?" 7 out of 10 children enrolled in primary school drop out before completing P.7, and still those who stay in school, majority are lagging behind. Although the goverment is working tirelesly to improve on the education system ,still poor families can,t afford to pay school fees for their children. In Wakiso over 60,000 children have lost a parent and over 25,000 lost both parents.
This project will provide school fees to orphans to ensure that they get quality education, introduce them to STEAM, an education approach where children improve on their creativity, critical thinking, and many more, buy computers for children. Orphans are relocated into families where they get parental care. Poor Parents and caretakers are empowered through micro-loans to get an income to pay school fees for their children.
The project will educate 800 children allowing them to be beneficial to the society. STEAM system of education will create young men and women who could solve their problems, equip them with technological knowledge ,leadership skills. Due to innovative ideas, they will be able to get out of poverty and could eventually support their families .
