Agape's project will help orphans devastated by AIDS in India from cradle through college. It will provide formula and diapers for HIV+ babies; home and medical care for 12 HIV+ orphans; educate a class of 22; and put 13 Agape school graduates through college. Together, we can give home, health, and hope through education in English to break the cycle of poverty and sickness these children were born into. Your life-changing investment in Agape's children will generate returns for years to come!
Imagine a widow too sick with AIDS to take care of her children; an orphaned six year old begging to provide for her HIV positive baby brother; an infant found clinging to her deceased mother. These real stories of Agape's children are common among AIDS orphans in India. Severe poverty and wide spread misunderstanding of HIV/AIDS closes doors of those who might have helped. Countless orphans are abandoned in extremely unsafe situations. Those living with HIV/AIDS have little chance of survival.
Agape's orphanages provide deep bonds of family, compassion, security, and love. Medical care restores malnourished, diseased children to health. Medical treatments ensure HIV + youth enjoy long, meaningful lives. Lower kindergarten through high school education at Agape's school develops essential skills in English. Our library, computer lab, science lab, and special clubs help kids explore interests. College opens greater opportunities, equipping once hopeless children for prosperous futures.
Dozens of Agape school and college graduates are living examples of the life-changing impact of all Agape provides. They enjoy better employment options than many non-orphans in India. In fact, UNICEF reports that more than half of India's girls drop out before 8th grade! Together, we can help the 50 orphans this project aids not just survive but thrive! Join us in investing in their futures to help them grow into responsible, healthy, joyful adults equipped to give back to their communities.
