HIV and AIDS has orphaned children in Kenya at a tune of a million, because the parents died of AIDS , with all of the stigma that implies have made them to be at the bottom. These children are forced to become breadwinners, pulled out of school and also forced to take on potentially dangerous labor that is inappropriate for children. By funding this project will help these children to go to school, to avoid these inappropriate duties. This is what our organization fight for.
There are over a million children who their parents died of HIV and AIDS in Kenya. They are being viewed as children of doomed and nobody can bother to give them the right of education. This has made them feel that they are not part of community and even lose hope in life. They have to withdraw from school in order to earn a living for the family and most cases to find livelihoods on the streets. Most girls describe prostitution as their only way to make a living.
The project aims at educating, feeding, clothing and offering medication to 200 HIV and AIDS orphans in Kenya. We will also set up shelter where necessary. These will ensure that these children go to school in order to achieve the right of education. Community sensitization will be conducted to enable the entire community understand what HIV and AIDS are, to avoid discrimination and stigmatization. As education is the key to success, it will give the right key to success for these children.
Educating 200 HIV and AIDS orphans will allow them to rise out of stigma and advocate for the rights of other AIDS orphans in the future. The lost hope will be redeemed as these children will be able to earn a living through their professions and support their families . They will be role models for the other children in the community.
