The project will conduct coaching classes for 2 years for 200 Nomadic Narikurava Gypsy children in rethinakootai ,rural india ,who consider education unimportant. The elders who have not crossed 5th standard or illiterates could not/do not support the children in their studies. Hence children also drop out after 5th standard ,begging,and get married before 18. The coaching class will motivate the children to continue their studies and thus prevent the children from the abuse and early marriages.
in rethinakotai,koothadi vayal village 1200 families of Narikuravar community suffer from a number of woeful miseries. They are being kept isolated by society. Without having any hope of income and discrimination, Narikuravars struggling for employment,income,per day less than a dollor . Education is considered less important for the Nomadic Narikuravar children , especially the girl children. migrating parents,huts,poverty,carelessness of 600 drop out children are struggling for educations
ljt provides strong motivation,coaching classes nutrition, medicine, and health care to starving children.regular monitoring, parental care, behavioral development by staffs,teachers ,The 200 narikuravar children will be motivated to continue their high education. Coaching classes will be conducted by teachers and the children will be trained in chapters and subjects in which they are weak. The children will be motivated to participate in 2 programmes each year to bring out their inner talents
By improving the educational opportunities for the children and by developing their skills they are allowed to make decisions and influence community to change in key areas. In turn this will have a positive impact on the most profound issues of the community, lack of education and early marriages.this nomadic community children will have chance to mainstream ,continue higher educations towards good future
