Summary

In some of the poorest areas in the US and around the world, teachers, students, and parents are able to access the high-quality teaching and learning materials that Curriki carefully curates for them. Only the best make it into the Curriki library, because our mission is to ensure that every child has the best chance at an education. This project will build out the Curriki online library of FREE education resources for all educators, parents, homeschool parents, and students around the world.

Challenge

Throughout the United States - and worldwide - there are tremendous gaps in the quality of education that children experience. We all know that children have an enormous capacity to learn, but if even one child's learning potential is not tapped, our entire global society suffers!

Solution

Curriki is a K-12 global online community where teachers, students and parents create, contribute, connect, share, and explore teaching and learning resources. Access to the resources is free, and with your help we will continue to expand our library, which already has over 257K educational resources shared by over 13 million people. This incredible reservoir of knowledge includes course materials, textbooks, software, streaming videos, lesson modules and more.

Long-Term Impact

By allowing educators around the world to access and contribute to a free and open library of digital learning resources, we are taking an important step toward leveling the educational playing field. Plus, countless studies show that empowering educators to create, modify, and choose their own teaching content helps them to engage their students more effectively.
