From base line survey, we have identified 20 girls from Padal village in Jhagadiya block of Bharuch district. They are studying in high school and are dropped/irregular in school due to school at long distance. These are girls belongs to families who are economically deprived and socially not integrated.
For base line survey we could talk to these girls and their parents too. We came to know that they have to walk 7km a day to attend high school, and they do not reach on time. They miss half day school, due to transport problem.
Through this project we are helping irregular girls by providing Bicycles, to ensure their regularity in the school. GVT staff could meet all this girls and motivate them to attend school regularly.
On 4th January, 2014 in association with teachers, villagers, parents, SMC members, Sarpanch of village, Talati, We have organized bicycle distribution programme. 20 girls received bicycle in presence of District collector Smt.Avantika singh (IAS), Mamlatdar Jhagadia and SDM Jhagadia.
Due to this bicycle giving project we could ensure that they are not dropped out and attend school regularly. To achieve their goal.
