Contributions from our GlobalGiving partnership continue to be a key pillar of support for PAAJAF, enabling us to carry on in our mission to provide a safe and nuturing environment for underprividlged children in the Gbawe community to learn and grow.
Through your support, we were able to welcome a record 104 students at the start of the new school year this autumn. A testament to our success in our 10th year of operation.
Highlights from the term, and indeed the past year….
To the delight of our pre-schoolers, we were able to purchase a large flatscreen TV which has been such a useful teaching tool…and at times, just plain fun.
Our annual Rep Your Tribe event was a particular success. We encouraged parents, students and teachers to share their tribal traditions and this year added an African Games component that helped build bridges with the our community.
Earlier in the year, as part of our 10 Year Anniversary, we celebrated our history by taking students to the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park to celebrate the history of their country.
