About $ 16,000 is needed to support school girls in Kyenjojo district with sanitary pads and sexual education. The problem is no longer school fees but Menstruation problems
Girls in lower secondary quite often under go physical and immotional maturity, their bodies develop into that of women and get ready to bear children, they also begin to think and act like adults. Girls need to be awaare of the changes in their bodies and the consquencies these changes bring. This project will promote Sexual education in schools, support menstruating girls with both sanitary facilities and psycho-social support. It will reduce cases of school drop out and promote sexual heath.
Training peer aducators in 6 secondary schools to assist in identifying sexual challenges among he girls ane refer them. Procure and distribute sanitary pads to the needy students during menstruation. Conduct sexual education dialogue meetings.
Sexual health for girls will improve, reduced early marriages and early pregnancies. The girls will stay in schools and complete their studies. This will reduce the gender parity in education giving girls an opportunity to get jobs and become leaders
