Educational status is an important indicator of children's wellbeing and future life opportunities. This project will help 100 unprivileged vulnarable children, those are belongs from Birhor Communities. This project will provide essential eductional meterials like - Books, Tuition fees, Uniforms, Study Lamp etc as per their needs. This project will followup every child for better utilisation of those meterials and will take some helps from educational counsellor if needed.
The families of Mandu mostly depend on the abandoned coal mine and have no other source of livelihood. The children are involved in extraction of coals. There is often a clash between the family values and those of the school. Frequently, their parents have dropped out of school themselves. The students come from families from low socio-economic backgrounds, where there are many other children. Many children live on the wrong side of the tracks in places where education is not valued.
This project will help these children to get quality education and lifestyle through the Residential School- "Prerna Balika Awashay Vidhyalya" at Birhortoli of Murpa village, Ramgarh District in Jharkhand which Srijan Foundation runs. The project will provides bridge education to children engaged in coal mining, domestic work or other hazardous work through joyful & innovative methods to increase children's participation in classroom and mainstream them into formal schools.
i- 100 % of the children remain in their families and will not end up in the streets or orphanage. ii- 100% Children will have data base and proper care plan iii- Caregiver associations will know their responsibilities iv- 60% Communities will be committed to each other and will provide protection to children v- 80% children will have enough knowledge about child protection issues and community based mechanism vi- will Increase personal growth and behavioural changes
