Challenge

With 34% of people aged between 15 and 29 years, India has the world's largest adolescent and youth population. A majority of this population either does not have the relevant education and skills to be meaningfully employed or suffers from the absence of enabling opportunities. When children lack playfulness and joyfulness in childhood ecosystems, it disrupts developmental milestones and risks maladjusted adulthood.

Solution

Our vision as an organisation is a world where children are empowered by the Power of Play, to thrive, be safe and joyful. At the core lies the belief that play is the most effective tool to transform the way children live their childhoods, learn and grow up to become well-rounded adults.

Long-Term Impact

Early childhood development programs ensure the right stimulation for children to be resilient and improve their future outcomes. In our research after a year long intervention, 2,856 children displayed an increase of: 32% in curiosity, 42% in honesty levels, 25% in attendance. Over the years, children have shown more empathy, responsibility, problem-solving, critical thinking and confidence. The Power of Play will enable at-risk children to be well-rounded individuals who build a better world.
