Challenge

A number of Guinean students live far distances from their schools, your financial support will help a student, who has to walk 3 or more miles to and from school each way to have access to a means of transportation through our bicycle donation initiatives. Most villages in Guinea have an elementary school and the nearest middle and/or high school may be miles away and can be a deterrent for the student to continue his/her education at the next level.

Solution

By providing students with a means of transportation to get to and from school we hope to reduce their travel time and to lessen their travel stress significantly, which ultimately make them better prepared for learning and this can have a positive ripple effect on the students' education.

Long-Term Impact

The potential long term impact will be to increase the number of students who live in remote villages to continue and complete their education at the middle and high school level and also to motivate other students to work harder and continue their studies, which will lead to higher literacy rate in the remote areas.
