This project provide, introduce and promote energy saving Fuel stove to 50 poor female headed households in shashamane,Ethiopia. And will Provide training for the target beneficiaries on the preparation/construction of fuel saving stove with the support of start up finance and materials, and create local Small Micro Enterprise /SMEs /, as an IGA by setting market link with the city dwellers
The targeted 50 households in Shashamane town are very poor and under marginalized communities. The needs assessment shows all the households expend 20 % of their monthly income for purchasing fire wood. If there is an alterative this could otherwise be used for education, health etc. The project will reduce the fuel consummation by 50 % and this will increases their monthly income and will help them get out of extreme poverty.
Appropriate practical training, initial capital and material will be provided to the organized SME (women groups) .After they get the adequate training they will start to produce and sell fuel saving stove with initial capital and material support that will be provided to them. The target women's will take one stove for themselves at first hand. And then they will produce to the market. The proposed project besides the reduction of the time spent, will reduce the fire wood consummation in 50 %
The project will provide fuel saving stove for the 50 poor target households and organize the women's in small micro-enterprise (SME).This will empower the families economically and reduce the burden on women and children's. This will increase the opportunity of children's especially the girl child to attend school.
