The ongoing conflict in Ukraine has caused fuel supply chain disruptions across the country. Widespread damage to civilian infrastructure in eastern regions has affected water and electricity supply, and access to fuel is a matter of increasing concern for humanitarian organizations working on the ground. In addition to providing an emergency fuel supply for NGOs operating in Ukraine, Fuel Relief Fund plans to distribute fuel directly to civilians impacted by the conflict.
Since the war in Ukraine began over two months ago, more than 10 million people have been displaced - and hundreds of thousands of civilians remain trapped in conflict zones without access to basic necessities. Damage to critical infrastructure has left many without clean water and electricity. Long lines continue to form at gas stations around the country. NGOs working on the ground are running low on the fuel they need to continue their life-saving work.
FRF is distributing fuel to humanitarian organizations and UN agencies working in the conflict zone and beyond. The fuel we provide is used to power generators and humanitarian fleets, enabling the delivery of critical aid. Fuel is also provided directly to civilians impacted by the ongoing conflict.
Funding for this project will facilitate the purchase of up to 100,000 gallons of desperately needed fuel. FRF will distribute fuel to our humanitarian partners operating in Ukraine as well as to civilians affected by the conflict - thereby benefitting hundreds of thousands of survivors of war.
