The Gram Vikas Trust aims to using education as a weapon to break through the cycle of poverty, creating opportunities for income, growth and sustainable development. At present Gram Vikas Trust is directly supporting educating 10,000 students in Bharuch & Narmada districts in Gujarat ( India) . The Free of Cost School Program reaches 3,500 underprivileged specifically tribal children across 15 schools in Narmada ( Aspirational District) in Gujarat state. (India).
Lack of quality education is a primary factor preventing poverty stricken families from opportunities of growth. Without quality education, the underprivileged are unable to unlock their full potential and end up begging on the streets.*Chetan, a boy who grew up in the slums of Rajpipla defied all odds. Apart of the original children that enrolled in school in 2007. After supporting through GVT for 12 years he is now doing job in corporate unit.
GVT was the solution for *Chetan and will be for thousands of other children. By providing a support for education that addresses quality education often lacking in Gujarat's education system with qualified teachers through a holistic approach, children can become well rounded, independent individuals. GVT has given *Chetan the opportunity to gain enrollment into a Govt schools. With your help GVT will be able to do the same for other tribal children.
Better education will allow children to break through the poverty cycle and help support their families, allowing them to pursue better opportunities, benefiting approx. 30000 others.
