The continuity of work in favor of the most depressed Colombian children and youth in our society, so that they can dream of a kinder future when music and art open new paths and give them hope in building a better tomorrow. Since 2011, MFA has experienced a gradual development that begins with a group of 30 direct beneficiaries, reaching 250 children and young people in this 2018 who, through their experience with music, change their vision of the submerged life in extreme difficulties.
The children and young people that the MFA serves are located in sectors of the city where they live submerged in various family, economic and social problems, such as domestic violence, unemployment, drug addiction, alcoholism, prostitution and even child prostitution. These children live in constant risk of becoming the delinquents of tomorrow and the contact with the beauty of life seems increasingly distant.
Art does not calm hunger or dress nakedness, but it nourishes the spirit, satisfies the indifference, remedies the pain and cheers the hearts of the people. This project aims to continue filling these children and young people with indispensable values in human life, such as respect, self-esteem, discipline, teamwork, through the exercise of chamber music. Classes of choir, instrument, chamber music and grammar, occupy their extracurricular time and their families are involved.
Without a doubt, the lives of these children and youth will not be the same. A single moment of joy is important for everyone's life and the exigency of the exercise of music will offer behavioral changes. Children are the future of our society. That is why in the continuity of our efforts to provide them with better life experiences lies the success for their adult lives. In the increase of the number of parents who attend the concerts of their children we can see already a fundamental change
