In this update, we've provided a link to an article that appeared in the Daily Nation (a prominent newspaper in Kenya) on September 16, 2013. This article reports, "A multi-million shilling fake medicines syndicate that puts lives of thousands of sick Kenyans at risk is thriving in the country, investigations have revealed. Most of the medicines are counterfeit, expired or concoctions without any active medical ingredients."

CFW exists to distribute high-quality medicines to low-income Kenyans needing prevention and treatment for prevalent diseases. As the Daily Nation article states, many local "clinics" and "pharmacy kiosks" are neither licensed nor operated by qualified professionals. By contrast, CFW clinics are legal, licensed, and operated by qualified medical personnel. We source only high-quality drugs, only allow drugs from these approved sources to be sold by CFW franchisees, protect our supply chain, and maintain an active compliance program to ensure all CFW outlets are following our standards on drug quality.
It takes a lot of effort to maintain quality standards, but that's why CFW exists. We're proud to be serving hundreds of thousands of people per year while maintaining basic quality standards.
