In this update we would like to highlight the fabulous work of our CFW franchisees in Kenya in reaching beyond the four walls of their clinics into their communities. Through the first three quarters of 2012, the CFW network in Kenya reached over 100,000 people through outreach events. We've uploaded a photo of CFW franchisee Janet Kamar in Nambale town, as an example of what this outreach looks like. Janet is passionate in offering diagnosis and treatment of diseases to her community. The photo shows her going out to the community to educate them on how to stay healthy, how to prevent diseases, and to show them products that help prevent diseases (e.g. water treatment products that help prevent water-borne diseases).
Just as our franchisees are reaching beyond their clinics, we also want to reach more people, and so are now active in social media. We thought our GlobalGiving community of supporters should be the first to know.
We'd like to hear from you about this. Do you have creative ideas for how we can effectively use socal media to promote our cause of improving access to essential medicines and basic healthcare, especially in conjunction with GlobalGiving?
Please send us your ideas and comments.
Thank you!
