Possible Monkey Business

Male Howler Monkey
Male Howler Monkey

We may have some good news in the coming months about this most important project and our ability to implement the it. But before I tell you about that I have great news in the present moment.

Last August we began receiving donations from the employees of Hewlett Packard here in Costa Rica. The company disburses “gift cards” for giving donations on Global Giving. A lot of companies are allowing their employees to decide where charity funds are directed. This past week more donations from the HP employees arrived and we are so grateful to them for supporting a Costa Rican project.

In January we also submitted a grant proposal to the Collegiate Church of NYC. We combined For The Monkeys and Rio Sol, Across the River to make one project and are keeping our fingers crossed that it will be approved. We should know in May, just in time to start the nursery and plant it by next November.

Thank you all for your generosity. Keep your fingers crossed as well and share this worthwhile project with your friends and family.
