The project aims at providing food vouchers to very hungry children and families access respite food donated by all people of goodwill through our Online Platform that enables donors to give and track the impact of their giving online. It ensures the respite food reaches those in need in real-time and that there are adequate stocks of nutritious food and facilitates in building resiliency and promoting food security with support from partners at all levels.
The COVID-19 pandemic and climate calamities' situation, has manifested that food distribution and access to food to the poor is a real challenge for all rural and poor urban dwellers, including refugees, people with disabilities, etc. Hundreds of children in families are desperately going hungry every day with no support and forced to roam the streets and abuse. There are people of goodwill wishing to give but not sure of how to give and more so how it would get to the intended beneficiaries.
This project will enable any at risk starving family particularly those in the care of children in any setting access food in a timely manner while promoting self-sufficiency among the starving families and to promote food bank agents in maintaining adequate food stocks. The project will provide an online food voucher that can be redeemed at any certified Community Food Banks within the vicinity of the children and families in need.
The project will save three million desperately hungry children from starvation, stunting, and in many instances child labor, dropping out of school, abandoning their homes to the streets on which they encounter other challenges including, extreme hunger, child abuse, drug addiction, illiteracy, and others.
