This past quarter has been challenging, but very rewarding. The number of people seeking food is still high, but the numbers aren't increasing quite as quickly as in the last quarter. Still, BTAC is providing assistance to more than 10% of Burbank's residents. That means BTAC is helping, on a regular basis, over 10,000 people who are just struggling to make ends meet.
When donations of food has been low, BTAC has been able to purchase food to fill gaps, Also, funds have been used to supplement the canned and dry goods with fresh dairy, meats and produce. This is a real treat for our families.
As the school year ends, we often see an increase in need. This is because students are no longer able to receive their low-income breakfasts and/or lunches as part of their school day. This is also at a time when our donations of food drops due to vacations, etc. Thanks to you and donors like you, BTAC will not run low on food going into this time of year.
Thank you for your help and support.
