I wish I could tell you that there are fewer homeless needing BTAC's help. But the truth is, the numbers are still growing. Over the past eight years, the number of homeless coming to BTAC has grown by more than 300%!
Monday - Friday, more than 325 homeless line up for thier daily sack lunch. Your donations have helped fill the bags with tasty and healthful items. Especially on Fridays, we try to make sure there are exta items, or even a second lunch, to give. This helps them get through the weekend, when BTAC is closed.
The lunches are much appreciated, and often the only meal of the day for many. Attached is a photo of the lunch line, today. As you can see, the line goes around the corner - and we had been distributing lunches for 30 minutes!
