Challenge

High rate of vulnerability among women and out of schools girls in the rural districts of northern Uganda, There is limited participation of women and girls in socio-economic activities, resulting into low standard of living which is affecting the well being of the people in the area. Women rights are highly violated, rendering them helpless and miserable. The level of poverty thus is appalling.

Solution

This project will train 200 women on financial literacy, and business skills. It will then reduce the vulnerability rate among these women and empower them to participate actively in socio-econmic activities. This will help them be able to raise money for their family, develop self confidence and continue to reduce poverty level.

Long-Term Impact

The project will educate 200 women on financial literacy and business skills, There will be reduced poverty rate, early child marriage, improved / well fare of the families, and positive attitude about women is developed, increased observation of women' rights in the area and reduced violence against women and girls.
