Food For Work is a program that feeds people and works through them to rehabilitate suffering communities. Through this program, people are given work, such as building and repairing bridges or other community resources. In return, they are paid so that they can buy food for themselves and their families. In addition, the work that they have done helps strengthen and develop their communities, many of which have fallen victim to natural disasters.
Nepal has been hit hard by devastating floods and landslides affecting millions of people across the country from east to the west. Many people have lost their lives and property. Tens of thousands of others are in need of food, medicine and shelter. There is a huge need of emergency assistance and we would like to appeal all our members, supporters and well-wishers to support this campaign generously. As most people are dependent on agriculture sector ,After the flood the need for recovery of the Agriculture sector is must and listed below are the fields we can help them with Supply of agriculture / fishery inputs . Replacement of agriculture inputs and tools. Providing the affected farmers with agricultural seeds, fertilizers and pesticides and training on how to use them. Training and Introduction on Alternative cash crops
Training for interested farmers and their family who may also be encouraged to engage in non-farm activities for supplementing their income because When agriculture is the sole source of income, livelihoods are fraught with serious risks, given the fluctuating patterns of rainfall and weather conditions.
