Special patient eating lots of fish!

White Pelican in pool habitat
White Pelican in pool habitat

We stay busy at the hospital all winter long, and this week received a special patient from our friends at Four Lakes Wildlife Center in Madison.  The white pelican currently with us is eating 4 pounds of live fish every day!  Even with a deep discount from Robinson Bait, he's an expensive guest:)  This is one of the animals you are helping by contributing to Fellow Mortals during this challenge.  The pelican is very cute and is healing well from a fracture which was stabilized by the folks at Four Lakes.
