Quarterly Report: Food Distribution Project
Date: July 03, 2024
Project Overview
The Food Distribution Project aims to provide essential food supplies to those in need, particularly during significant times such as religious holidays. This quarter, our efforts have been focused on distributing food parcels and managing donations received during Eid al-Adha.
Distribution Summary
Total Food Parcels Distributed: 13
Remaining Parcels: 2
Our team successfully distributed 13 food parcels to families in need within our community. Each parcel contained essential food items designed to support a family for a month. We have 2 parcels remaining, which will be distributed in the coming days.
Donations Received
During Eid al-Adha, a significant festival for the Muslim community, we received generous donations which have greatly supported our project:
Buffalo: 1
Goats: 3
These donations have been instrumental in providing fresh meat to families during the festive period. The distribution of meat has not only addressed immediate nutritional needs but also allowed families to partake in the traditional celebrations of Eid al-Adha.

Community Feedback: Positive and appreciative responses from beneficiaries
The food parcels and meat distribution have had a substantial impact on the well-being of the recipients. The timely support during Eid al-Adha was particularly appreciated, as it allowed families to celebrate without the burden of food insecurity.
Challenges and Learning
Distribution Challenges: Coordinating the distribution of fresh meat required additional logistical planning to ensure timely and equitable distribution.
Community Engagement: The project has highlighted the importance of community involvement and the positive impact of receiving donations during significant cultural events.
Next Steps
Distribution of Remaining Parcels: The remaining 2 food parcels will be distributed to families identified through our needs assessment process.
Planning for Future Events: Based on the success of this quarter, we will begin planning for future distributions and seek to increase community engagement and support.
