This project will provide meals for the children from poor families in Western Kenya to be able access the quality Early Childhood Education for a year.
The community is facing severe food shortages and over 800,000 households will have to starve to no food. Therefore, the most affected are children of 15 years and below. With this gap, Namusia Rural Welfare Programme comes in to accommodate the children, to feed them and provide them the quality education through our Institutions in Western Kenya.
The project will provide meals from morning till evening, will provide clothes, shoes and blankets. The project will also provide accommodation for the children and now they have to access quality at the institutions.
Once we have been able to educate these young children, they will be able secure employment and now be able to support their families and friends and we can break the poverty cycle. We target over 800,000 families and entire Western Kenya Region.
This project has provided additional documentation in a Microsoft Word file (projdoc.doc).
