We are building a Medical School in Gulu, Uganda to promote Medical knowledge of 400 young girls in our communities. The northern region of Uganda has been traumatized by war and urgently we need healthcare workers to improves lives in the community. Young mothers are dying of birth as we don't have enough midwiferies, nurses, Doctors or clinical officers in the region. By supporting building the medical school, we will overcome the healthcare workers shortages and improves lives.
Let's promote Girls Education in Medical Science, The community is facing serious health challenges as there is a complete shortage of Dentists and Nurses especially in Midwifery. Less than 300 Dentist for a population of 42 millions. Young mothers are dying because there is not enough qualified Midwifery to attend to them. And that is why Terizina Community Foundation has started building the Medical school to train 400 young people and improve the well being of the community.
The project would promote Girls Education in Medicine and will solves the problems by having many health practitioners in the community and as a result few young mothers will die at birth. Many Midwifery would have been trained and Dentists to serve the community. Through Outreach work the community has been train and tested on diabetes, blood pressure, Malaria, family planning, HIV/AIDS and counselling and this has improves lives.
The project will educate 400 women in Midwifery allowing them saves lives of young mothers at birth. There will be more healthcare practitioner in the community train as Dentists, Nurses, clinical Officers and Laboratory technicians and as a result reduction in death rate.
