The recent post- election crisis in Burundi has sent even more people flooding across the border into Rwanda. Some of the displaced people are children aged between 0-6 who have lost their families to war, hunger and deadly disease. Instead of warehousing them in a refugee camp in Southern region of Rwanda, HELP A CHILD INITIATIVE will find for 125 lost children a family, home, an education and an opportunity to grow safe and healthy and become a part of a larger solution for their community.
As a result of political crisis in Burundi, according to the office of the United Nations Children's (UNICEF), more than70,000 People were forced into exile in Rwanda. This situation has created massive death and disease for parents and many children get lost. They live with no adequate food or proper dresses with signs of malnutrition. Instead of getting an education, they are often forced to beg. This project will provide family care for 125 Burundian of 6years less for their safety.
We will place 125 Burundian of less than 6years in loving families and ensure them live in a safe and secure family environment. These Kids will be paid health insurance, 3pairs of shoes and dresses with hygienic supplies to live protected and feel smart. We will also pay for 60 kids the nursery school daily nutritious meals on a daily basis and give milk, fruits to get out malnutrition. Children's caring families will be trained in nutrition and child care to be more loving and affectionate.
The project will advance quality of life for 125 Burundian lost children under 6 years in exile in Rwanda by providing them a family, a home and education; allowing them to rise out loneliness and misery. They Will grow safe, happy and healthy and are free from dreadful diseases. Children are protected from elements of this humanitarian crisis and are able to reach their full potential.They will develop positive social behaviors enabling them to be part of larger solution in their communities
