Reports reaching us from the Good Samaritan Children's Home (GSCH) says that about twenty (20) high school teenagers identified with the GSCH have been able to purchase required school shoes, thanks to donations received so far. Mercy, the home director, says "the kids look awesome in their new school shoes". She adds that the teens are not feeling embarrassed anymore from wearing old and sometimes tattered shoes. Further, the teenagers are sure they will not be sent home from school and risk missing classes because of lacking proper shoes.
Mercy also reports that there are eight boys and one girl waiting to join high school. We are hopeful that, you, our donors will continue with your kind gestures of making more donations to ensure that these nine teenagers have school shoes and are ready to go to school come September this year, when schools open in Kenya. Thank you for all you have done so far!
