As a parent you want to make the best decisions about your child's health, but there is so much information and it can be confusing. Your donation will help improve children's health and empower parents to make sense of information about common childhood illnesses. Your support will result in a series of high quality Podcasts, created by Cochrane Child Health intended to support families to understand and make informed decisions about children's health.
Health information is more readily available than ever before, however, parents often wonder how to make sense of it all. You can find the latest article about your child's condition, but how do you know if its findings apply to your situation? As parents you, of course, feel enormously responsible for your children's health, but today there is so much information coming from so many directions, and it is sometimes contradictory. It can be hard to know what to do.
Cochrane Child Health will address this problem and help parents and carers around the world by creating a series of podcasts in two stream; 1) A series aimed at helping parents understand the health information they receive online and how to assess what is the most relevant, 2) A series presenting recent, high-quality scientific evidence relating to common childhood conditions, such as bronchiolitis, croup, (RSV) respiratory syncytial virus and asthma.
Parents will feel more empowered and confident about making decisions about their children's health - and, there will be an additional benefit: parents will also know more about assessing scientific evidence for their own health as well!
