CURRENT PROGRESS OF THE PROJECT

The project of Mobile School Screening is running very successfully. The project team really putting lot of effort to find out refractive errors in school going children. During free eye camps in out skirts of Peshawar i.e in villages / small towns. The stress was given to children and women. The teams effort to find out the refractive errors in a school going children at a very early stage, thus to protect them from early blindness is really appreciable and Allah will definitely reward them for this noble cause. The team of Khyber Eye Foundation, Hospital established eye camp in following areas.
The Mobile School Screening team established 3 days special camp in Islamabad for the orphans children came there from all over Pakistan. During the camp 540 children were screened for refractive error, and 88 children with various eye deceases were also given medicines free of cost.
During the period the Mobile School Screening Project team carried out teacher’s training of various schools and screened 9200 school going children and issued spectacles to 4100 students free of cost. The hospital also provided free medicines worth of $ 17150/- to poor patients. The team issued spectacles to 4100/- students free of cost worth of $ 1240.
