This project is a continuation of the ongoing establishment of a private not for profit health Centre that has funding gaps of a latrine and medical equipment. The project will support the Centre in procuring non-local construction materials, pay labor for the construction of a VIP latrine, buy medical equipment, Solar power system, water harvesting tank & their installation. Impact: Increased access to affordable Primary health care services for 10000 Vulnerable people per year in Kuluba.
Kuluba has more than 48000 people & hosts refugees from South-Sudan as its located 5kms away from Uganda-South South boarder CHIO conducted Community dialogues & identified 1 health Centre located at 20 Kms, characterized of poor road network so to access at night & rainy seasons is difficult. It can't serve the increasing population's health needs, leading to high maternal-child mortality & morbidity rates. Hence, Local stake holders & CHIO recommended establishing a community health Centre
An Out Patient Department is under construction with support from NASF-Holland. This project will provide a VIP latrine, medical equipment Medical personnel will be employed to solve the health care problem by providing Health education & promotion, diagnosis & management of common diseases, Maternal child health care including Antenatal Care, normal deliveries, Family planning, reproductive health, Immunization, screening & management of malnutrition & other non-communicable diseases
The project will Increase access to affordable Primary health care services to 10000 vulnerable persons (children, pregnant mothers and the elderly, Refugees) per year and hence reduced morbidity and mortality rates in the community of Kuluba Sub-County and its neighborhood
