This project will provide TreeHouse Wildlife Center new, vital equipment for our clinic, rescue teams, and rehab enclosures to continue our mission of rescue, rehabilitation, and release of wildlife while promoting environmental awareness through education.
TreeHouse Wildlife Center, the only wildlife rescue center in central, Southern Illinois, is in need of new, vital equipment to continue provide quality care along with safe rescue of wildlife. Our rescue zone extends two plus hours from our center. The increasing number of animals rehabbed each year also increases our need for more funding. While we seek to be as efficient and effective as possible with funds, the reality exists that rehabilitation is expensive.
This project will allow TreeHouse to purchase vital equipment needed for rescue and rehab. We must provide safe and quality care for wildlife, as well as safe equipment for our staff and volunteers dedicated to rescuing and treating them. New live traps, control poles, gloves, and other safety equipment will keep wildlife, staff, and volunteers safer during rescue. New syringes, incubators, feeding nipples, and other rehab equipment will provide quality care for rescued wildlife.
Funds received from this project will allow TreeHouse to make a large equipment purchase, with no reduction in our food and medical treatment budget for wildlife care. New, quality equipment will reduce wasted time working with outdated, broken equipment, it will provide safer and quicker rescue of wildlife, and will increase our level of wildlife care. All of these impacts will increase TreeHouse's ability to rescue and rehab more wildlife and protect our dedicated staff and volunteers.
