Ensure safe child birth for vulnerable mothers

In 2011, 1200 vulnerable mothers with complicated deliveries were assisted & were grateful because their lives and the babies were saved without paying any coin.

We therefore appeal to all well wishers to join hands with us to spear head this good cause so as to save many more vulnerable pregnant women that would otherwise have lost their lives and /or those of their un born babies.

PREGNANT MOTHER WITH A RAPTURED UTERUS SAVED

A mother received ON 14/1/2012 from one of the referral centre in a remote area, 30 year old who has had five pregnancies and only two children are living. On examination, a doctor suspected a ruptured uterus, had 2 previous scars and was in active phase of labour. Mother was prepared and rushed to theatre for an emergency caesarian delivery, a live baby of 4.2 kg birth weight was rescued from the abdomen as a result of the ruptured uterus. Mother was later transferred to a post natal ward for continuous observation and treatment and on the 5^th day, mother and baby were discharged in good condition.

PREGNANT MOTHER WITH ARM PROLAPSE RESCUED

A 28 year old pregnant mother of four children, from one of the referral clinic was received on 18/1/2012, on examination membranes had rapture and there was arm prolapsed. An emergency caesarian section was done and a 4kg live baby was delivered with a fractured left arm. Mother and baby are currently under management.
