-Provide counselling to 50 households and adolescents and girls at risk of or affected by Child Marriage through home visit and helpline service in Bar Kaev district. -Build capacity to 25 members of local government structures on relevant laws, policies, Child Sensitivity Reporting and Response Mechanism (CRRM), Child Marriage and Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV) and operationalize CRRM and helpline services in Bar Kaev district.
Child marriage has a multifaceted and profound impact on children's lives, affecting their health, education, psychological development, social life, relationships and increased risk to future adversities. The majority of teen brides do not receive any information about sexual and reproductive health, family planning, or childcare before they become pregnant which adds an extra dimension to the complexities of motherhood.
Indigenous adolescents and teens fully enjoy their childhood free from the risk of early marriage and have greater access to services that improve their safety, health, education and wellbeing.
50 indigenous adolescents and girls victims or at risk of child marriage in Bar Kaev district and 50 indigenous adolescents and girls victims or at risk of child marriage in O'Chum district are able to demand their rights, voice up their daily life concern to authorities or call the free helpline telephone for assistance, resist child/early marriage, and break the culture of silence when there are gender violence and abuse in their families.
