Junior Achievement's mission is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy. In Dallas, our focus is providing business role models, basic business skills, and financial literacy to the most at-risk students-changing the lives of students who need our transformational curriculum in order to find their pathway to success. This #GivingTuesday, help us impact the lives of over 52,500 students.
In a competing global economy, comprised of constant innovation and changing technology, it is critical that education keep pace and prepare students for future career and economic success. For a large number of students in the Dallas area, many of whom come from economically disadvantaged homes, these essential skills are out of reach-not taught in school or by parents at home.
JA connects volunteers from the business community with young people through the use of JA's proven programs to help students understand how business works while inspiring them to consider the opportunities associated with being an entrepreneur.
JA Dallas strives to impact nearly 52,500 students in the 2016-17 school year through substantial growth in student impact in the Dallas, Irving, and Richardson Independent School Districts. We will instill students with financial management skills that will keep them from falling into poverty.
