Story about a beneficiary:
Ciza: I am 15 years old. I have been in street for 11 years. My mother died. My sister Kase took me to the street. We lived under the gutter. We had to beg or to steal, sometimes to transport belongings to get food. One day my brother diid a cn accident. A good person took him to hospital. After a week, he died.
I was sent to a center with two other children to Children’s Voice school and we got host family. I am learning to read and to write. This is a fantastic chance for me. I like to be with my friends. After class we play football in the center.
I would like to be an international football player.
Summary of our activities
There are large numbers of children and youths out of school in Democratic Republic of Congo as reported a recent study by Save the Children, It shows that more than 7 million children are out of school and many live in streets. Fonr Children's Voice, literacy and school are a answer programs to this challenge. From street, they are placed in a family. Then, they start quick schooling. There are 41 those who are reinserted at school from September 2014.
We add a psychosocial and medical assistance to those children.
