Many girls are out of school. Their main challenges are economic vulnerability. They are poor and at high risk of sexual violence, involuntary pregnancy and HIV. They are unskilled labor and unable to find employment and not able to make independent decision to early marriage not to join any youth program. With this project project, Children's Voice helps vulnerable girls to be able to start own business. From October 2012, more than 458 girls have been empowered and skilled to manage small business.
Fatuma, girl mother, 17years old, is one of young girls who were trained in vocational training in Children’s Voice Virunga center. “Great that I have my own workshop to make clothes. It is a good business for my child and me”. “I lost my parents when we were running from my village during the war.
