Thank you for the support you have continued giving us throughout the
year 2016 on empowerment project of the teenage mothers project 3844 through the global giving .We sincerely appreciate all your kind support .We want to share with you a personalized project update and to inform you that due to your kind support we were able to engage more women in sustainable business through beading ,weaving and dressmaking .The women were able to generate an income of $7000 last year (half year) and that was ploughed back to the project to purchase more materials and the rest was paid to the young mothers doing the business .One women said that she was able to buy a school uniform for her children to go to school.
Other items being made by these women are hand woven items (Kikoy,Kikoy towels & shirts ,African bag s,table mats bead works ) .These are sold to our local markets.
We are looking for an international market for some of the items.
