Three teenage mothers in Kenya has risen beyond expectations after their last years graduation on tailoring and dressmaking course .Josephine who emerged as the best candidate in her class started a small business with the tailoring machine that the school gave her as a reward for her good results.Josephine makes clothes in various designs .'Challenge Josephine with any style in the world or any design and she will give it to you as it is'. says her former teacher .
Josephine is also very innovative such that she comes up with her own styles and designs that she normally wears to market them and later sells at a resonable prices.Josephine is able to feed her children through her business of dress making and she is looking to expand that business.'I can now feed my children , clothe them and take them to school ' she says.
Josephine has inspired her former classmates whom she mentors and helps to make quality designs. She is a role model that other girls are looking up to.Our ourganization is looking for ways to link those girls who graduate to available market related to their work and also those who cannot are supported with a tool and training to set up their own business .
On behalf of Hope for teenage Mothers I wish to thank all who have contributed to this wonderful acheivement for our young mums.
