Hope for Teenage Mothers is an organization working with teenage mothers to empower them through back to school programs and life skills that teach self-sustainability to enable them to succeed following early parenthood. If these teenage mothers are empowered they can improve their quality of life and that of their children. The young women are taught entrepreneurship skills that aim to uplift them economically through income generating projects. The young women make hand-made traditional African crafts, beaded works, bags, paintings, handicrafts, Kikoy cloths and woven baskets. These income generating activities are important because they economically benefit the communities from which these girls are from, aid in their rehabilitation and ensure the sustainability of the project.
We are actively seeking partners on mentorship, skills building and sales of these items through various networks.
Improved sales in these income generating activities will provide the young girls and their children with a livelihood and enable them to continue with their schooling.
