While teen pregnancy is not something, as a parent, that you appreciate occurring in your child's life, the fact is, teen pregnancy continues to be an epidemic in the slum community in Kenya today. Hope for Teenage Mothers has continued to find life skills educational activities that will cater for the teens pregnancy and parenting time schedules and demands. We are selling the like skills items made by the mums both locally and internationally. The money received is used to buy more materials for the project and to help the teen mums with their livelihood. If you like them we shall ship it to you.We shall be uploading more items in our photo shop in the coming days.
Hope for Teenage Mothers has added another project in the urban slums; i.e. Starehe.
Due the large numbers of the girls who need support, the organization is looking for ways to scale up its activities by adding another 3 class room that will offer life skills training of hairdressing, vocational training and Income Generating
Activities (IGA).The project site proposal is at Buruburu. It will cater for teen mums within four slums within this geographical area .The area is characterized by refugees also who are teenage mothers. The area is unique as it will benefit diversified communities.
Please tell your friends about us and as always your comments on how we can make more impact are most welcome.
