Kwagawa Organic designs education solutions for sustainable peace. This project will provide violence-free education training, resources and mentoring to 1,800 school children in Kamuli Uganda, ensuring quality education to over 100'000 orphans. The Busoga region has the lowest schooling rates in Uganda and Kamuli has lowest rate. By improving education, we will boost school success for over 100,000 children in Kamuli district of Uganda and empower them to build a peaceful and sustaining ftre.
The Community of Kamuli and other neighboring community are facing a problem of increasing number of Orphans, Unemployment of Youths and poverty like many children are loosing their parents at a tender age due to out break of HIV/AIDS, Gonorrhea, Syphilis and other diseases. Unemployment of youths due to loss of education which would have given them a better future, leaving them unemployed in a poor condition leading to increasing crime. In Uganda the biggest percentage of people are poor
With the Increased number of Orphans, The project will build a foster home where the orphans in Kamuli will be staying and providing them with education and other basic needs. Unemployment among youths, The project will create jobs in planting, weeding, and marketing of chias and ginger in order to help them to earn a living. The project will teach and sensitize them on how to create their own jobs than searching for the jobs since some of them missed school.
The project will train 20 expert trainers and 1'800 teachers in violence-free education. 1,000,000 children are currently enrolled in primary school in Kamuli but but lack fees for their education. Our community activities aim to reach 1,000 families to promote life sustaining education for orphans after schools. It will give them a way to sustain and benefit in 4 years time coming
